HistoryIn the heart of Al-Awali, where land and sky meet in solemn silence, Al-Ihn Well whispers the stories of time. Once known as Al-Asirah (“the difficult”), it was renamed Al-Yasirah (“the easy”) by the Prophet ﷺ as a good omen, and later became known as Al-Ihn, after the orchard around it. Between its two stone horns the noble Companion Abu Salamah ibn Abd Al-Asad was washed with its pure water, and it stood witness to the farewell of the first Muhajirun. Carved into the rock, plentiful and sweet, it waters the land with its ancient secret.

HistoryIn the heart of Al-Usbah, where homes once pulsed with life and memories, Al-Hujaym Well tells the stories of passers-by and the secrets of time. Here, among the homes of Bani Jahjaba of the Aws, the Prophet ﷺ walked with his blessed feet and prayed in their mosque beside the well, leaving his blessing on its sweet water. Lined with the black stone of the lava fields and fed by Wadi Ranuna, the well remained a stop for travellers, who drank from it and made ablution, as if its water quenched not only thirst but souls longing for light. Restored today, it remains a witness to that age of light, scattering stories of the Companions around the Messenger ﷺ.

HistoryIn Al-Awali, among palm groves, Al-Fuqayr Well stands witness to the struggle of Salman Al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) for his freedom. His master demanded a heavy price: 300 palm trees and 40 ounces of gold. The Companions helped him, and the Prophet ﷺ came and planted the palms with his own blessed hands. Allah blessed them, they bore fruit that same year, and Salman won his freedom. Here drops of water mingled with tears of hope, a witness that patience and work are the road to freedom. Al-Fuqayr Well still whispers to every visitor a story that never grows old: faith and work are the key to salvation.

HistoryBetween the edges of the two lava fields took place one of history’s greatest battles: the Battle of the Confederates. When Salman Al-Farisi wisely suggested digging a trench, it became a field where shrewd planning met deep faith. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) struck the ground with their picks, sharing effort and certainty, and the Prophet’s leadership shone in the darkest hours. Here supplication rose from Al-Fath Mosque, fear was stilled in the cave of Bani Haram, and the line of the trench became a witness to steadfastness and resolve. At every corner of this place, history whispers that victory is born of hardship, when sincere faith meets devoted work.
