In Al-Awali, among palm groves, Al-Fuqayr Well stands witness to the struggle of Salman Al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) for his freedom. His master demanded a heavy price: 300 palm trees and 40 ounces of gold. The Companions helped him, and the Prophet ﷺ came and planted the palms with his own blessed hands. Allah blessed them, they bore fruit that same year, and Salman won his freedom. Here drops of water mingled with tears of hope, a witness that patience and work are the road to freedom. Al-Fuqayr Well still whispers to every visitor a story that never grows old: faith and work are the key to salvation.
