One of the Earliest Long-Distance Walking Trails:

This trail is designed for long-distance walking. It is fitted with exercise equipment along the pathway and attracts the various segments of society. It is one of the largest and most important walking trails in Madinah.

Part of Vision 2030:

Al-Hijrah walking trail is designed to meet the requirements of the Quality-of-Life Program, a component of Vision 2030, through building and developing an environment that is conducive to creating more vital options that enhance positive lifestyles, such as sports, culture, heritage, the arts, entertainment, recreation, etc.

Integrated Features in a Single Trail:

Al-Hijrah walking trail is characterized by wide and comfortable areas for walks. Along the walkway on both sides, there are green spaces adorned with palm trees. The 3-km-long pathway is well-lit. Parking is also available on both sides of the trail. Some advantages of the trail are:

• It is considered one of the vital areas in Madinah, in terms of commercial activities and restaurants.

• It is considered one of the main outlets and an exercise area for residents and visitors

• It is a long and spacious trail, with greenery on both sides. There are also bench seating and shaded rest areas.

• Sports and exercise equipment along the walkway

• Grocery stores, restaurants and cafes are available at both trailheads.

Getting to the Trail:

The walkway is located along Abbas bin Ubadah St., about 2.80 km from Quba Mosque, and extends from King Abdullah Rd. to Zarara bin Qais Rd. The walkway and all its facilities are open throughout the day.
