The castle was built for military purposes. It is one of the largest castles in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. It overlooks Quba Road near Al-Dawimah District before Masjid AL-Jummah. The castle consists of 3 floors that are constructed of stone and plastered-plated. It has one door, and the three floors have small openings used for observation and shooting.
A majestic spot that witnessed the most intense moments in the life of the Messenger of Allah and his honorable companions. The sincerity of the faith of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and the betrayal of the hypocrites and Jews surfaced here, in great events immortalized by the Qur’an and ended with the victory of the Prophet and his companions.
The prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, chose this place to be a graveyard for his companions. Around 10,000 of the honorable companions were buried there. Because of the large number of righteous people who were buried in this cemetery, it is called Al-Baqi' Garden.
