It is a research center focusing on scientific research and studies related to Madinah in various fields. It aims to contribute to presenting a renewed culture of knowledge and enhancing national belonging through an effective community partnership to serve the civilizational heritage of Madinah.

Its Establishment:

• The center was established by a lifelong charitable endowment by His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who served as chairman of the center’s board of directors. Later on, this role was assumed by the successive princes of Madinah.

• Among those who occupied this role is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during his tenure as Crown Prince in 1432 AH.

• In 1436 AH, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, assumed the position of Chairman of the Center's Board of Directors.

Its Objectives:

• Conducting studies and research related to Madinah.

• Pioneering in providing information and research related to Madinah.

• Cultivating a culture of knowledge about the history and civilization of Madinah.

• Cooperating constructively with local and international research and study centers, experts, and researchers.

Its Access:

The Center is situated in the south of Madinah, overlooking King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road. It is about 5.4 km from the Prophet’s Mosque.
