Its Names:

It is called Bani Haritha Mosque because it is located in the quarters of Bani Haritha, a subtribe of the Ansar.

It is also called Al-Mustarah Mosque (the resting place mosque) because the Prophet(ﷺ) took rest in this place on his way back from the Battle of Uhud.

Its History:

The mosque was built during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). While the people of Banu Haritha were performing Asr prayer in it, the order came to them to change the qibla to the Sacred Mosque of Makkah.
