Al-Rawha is a caravan station located 80 km from Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah on the road to Badr.

Al-Rawha is a caravan station located 80 km from Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah on the road to Badr. It has been historically linked to many events mentioned in many Prophetic narrations and mentioned in Sira (i.e., biographical) books. Therefore, it is one of the historical landmarks. When the Prophet (Peace be upon him) wanted to perform the Hajj or Umrah or when he returned from one of his conquests, he would stop in Al-Rawha well. It was mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhar that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed where the small mosque that is closer than the mosque in the highest part of ar-Rawha, and it was mentioned in Sahih Muslim as narrating from the prophet (ﷺ) who said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life. Ibn Maryam would certainly pronounce Talbiya for Hajj, Umra, or both In the valley of Rauha.
